"The house is perfectly located for exploring the islands of Culatra and Farol, the village of Fuseta, and the many nearby beaches."
The first time Anne-Sophie Prévot set eyes on Casinha Bloom, it was love at first sight! ‘This little 35 m² house already had a soul,’ she recalls. ‘I just wanted to let it breathe and invite people to feel at home.’ As the founder of The Houses, she entrusted her team of architects with the task of completely reimagining the space, without altering the original structure. The result: a home that radiates joy, with large openings that let in the light and pastel tones that warm the heart.
Casinha Bloom is nestled in the heart of a charming typical village in the Algarve, just a few minutes’ walk from the local market and all the restaurants. Built several decades ago, the house was completely renovated in 2023 to make the most of every square meter. The bedroom, formerly upstairs, was moved to the ground floor to create an open, inviting living space. Outside, a terrace and rooftop offer breathtaking views over Olhão—perfect for enjoying a sunny morning coffee or watching the sunset like a true relaxation pro.

From the moment you step inside, Casinha Bloom charms you with its colourful accents and Mediterranean atmosphere. Lime washed walls and natural materials blend easily with the vintage pieces chosen with care. « We wanted the house to feel cosy yet full of personality », says Anne Sophie. « Every detail matters, from a small checkered cushion to the vibrant tableware. »
Large windows flood the space with daylight, creating a rare sense of openness for a house of this size. The indoor kitchen is fully equipped, and the outdoor plancha invites relaxed summer barbecues, perfect for enjoying life al fresco, cocktail in hand, with your feet almost dangling over the panoramic terrace.

From Casinha Bloom, the islands of Culatra and Ilha do Farol are only a few minutes away by boat, and the village of Fuseta with its peaceful beaches can be reached on foot or by car.
Olhão is full of restaurants and gourmet spots to enjoy, from O Gallo for a convivial lunch to Frango da Cidade for piri piri chicken, Cha Cha Cha for a fresh and energising brunch, Do Fernando for classic local fish dishes and São Gelados for delicious artisanal ice cream.
