A luxurious getaway in Combloux

“What’s most precious here is the silence… And the view of Mont Blanc, of course!”

Perched on the unspoiled hillside of the Thural hamlet in Combloux, Chalet Victory offers more than sweeping views of the Mont Blanc range: it invites you to experience the Alpine art of living. Built in 2025 after the owners fell in love with this sunny, sheltered plot, the 240 m² family chalet welcomes up to ten guests in an intimate and refined setting.

With its two interconnected wings set around a stone courtyard, its traditional tavaillons roof—those thin wooden shingles typical of old Alpine farms—and its architecture designed hand in hand with a La Clusaz–based architect, Chalet Victory is the result of three years of passionate, painstaking work.

Tradition
& modern comfort

Chalet Victory was crafted by the Compagnons du Devoir, combining brushed split wood, century-old timbers, hand-carved stone, glass, and aluminum. The result is a bold yet harmonious mix: a warm, contemporary home rooted in Savoyard heritage while embracing modernity.

The spaces are striking, especially the cathedral-style living room where your gaze drifts straight into the clouds. ‘When a storm rolls in, it feels as if you’re in the sky,’ say the owners. And when Mont Blanc turns pink at sunset, the adjoining glass-fronted sauna becomes the ultimate vantage point.

The architecture makes an impression, but it’s the interior design that captivates with its subtlety. The owners worked with an interior architect to bring their vision to life: a serene atmosphere that’s cozy yet chic. The palette revolves around white and off-white in a Scandinavian spirit, warmed by honey-toned wood and noble materials.

Furnishings focus on comfort: a plush sofa, an ecru table, and carefully placed Foscarini lighting. The chef-worthy kitchen is clad in 200-million-year-old granite and fitted with Swiss-made Zug appliances. Technology is just as refined, with intuitive home automation, underfloor heating in winter and cooling in summer, plus solar panels that provide half the year’s energy needs. This is discreet luxury, never ostentatious. ‘We thought through every detail so it would be practical, beautiful, and above all a pleasure to live in,’ the owners explain.

For cozy evenings, there’s a private cinema, a ski room with boot warmers, a wine cellar, and even a screen that disappears into the living room ceiling.

Atmosphere, landscapes,
and Alpine lifestyle

The moment you step out of the car, a soothing silence takes over. Your only companions are the birds, the panorama, and a handful of neighboring chalets. The terrace, facing Mont Blanc, calls at every moment—whether for breakfast in the sun, a quiet aperitif, or a dip in the garden jacuzzi surrounded by nature.

And when the landscape is blanketed in snow, the slopes of Megève and Combloux are only five minutes away by car. In summer, hiking, cycling, and swimming in the Biotope Lake set the pace of the days. Here, life flows as much outdoors as indoors, in a chalet that comes alive with the rhythm of the seasons.
