In San Vito dei Normanni, Sara and Luca designed two contemporary white buildings around a traditional "lamia," accommodating seven guests. A harmonious blend of styles at the heart of the Apulian countryside.

A stylish villa, a reimagined trullo, and a pool that beckons to the cactus: welcome to Dimora MM, a chic and cozy retreat amidst centuries-old olive trees. Here, holidays are all about dolce vita.
Rustic-chic elegance in the heart of Puglia
“The villa’s charm comes from its location—near the picturesque towns of the Itria Valley, surrounded by peaceful countryside, with the added allure of an ancient trullo in ruins.”
Nestled in the heart of the Itria Valley, Dimora MM blends tradition with modern flair. Built in 2025 around the ruins of an ancient trullo, the villa feels like a natural part of the Apulian landscape, with olive trees, dry-stone walls, and a sky so blue it almost seems unreal.
The owners, Francesca and Davide, admit they chose this land for its tranquility and the charm of the old trullo. ‘We wanted to give it a new life without taking away its soul.’ The result? A minimalist architecture—stylish yet warm—that breathes authenticity as much as modernity.

Inside, it’s all about comfort and good company. There are three bedrooms in the villa and one in the trullo, each with its own en-suite bathroom because even on holiday, privacy matters. Natural materials, soft tones, and vintage accents mix effortlessly with designer pieces and playful tiles. Indoors, the eye is drawn to the Mauritanian desert carpets, designer lighting, and 1960s Nordic furniture, which together create a perfectly harmonious blend.
The star of the show? The kitchen, finished with unique copper-oxide paint. "It’s the heart of the house, functional of course, but most importantly made for sharing. We love cooking together here, glass of wine in hand."
In the living room, an oversized sofa sets the scene for cozy movie nights, with a portable projector for both indoor and outdoor screenings depending on the mood, and a wood-burning stove for warmth on cooler evenings.
Outside,
it's la dolce vita.
But the true magic of Dimora MM is outdoors. A vast 50 m² veranda extends the house, complete with a fully equipped kitchen, barbecue, a large table for ten, and even a screen for watching movies under the stars. It’s the kind of cinema where the popcorn tastes like focaccia.
The saltwater pool, an 11.5-meter ribbon of turquoise, is lined with sun loungers and a cactus garden. "Our guests love to linger here between swims. Some even say they’ve never seen a villa so beautiful." Beneath the shade of an old olive tree, a lounge corner invites siestas with a book and a Spritz in hand.

“Our favorite spots are undoubtedly the veranda, the expansive garden, and the stunning pool framed by cacti.”

Dimora MM exudes a relaxing, cozy yet design-forward atmosphere, perfectly summed up by the owners: "soulful, warm, a place where you instantly feel at home." Here, you quickly fall into the local rhythm: breakfast in the sun, lunch al fresco, a sacred siesta, and afternoons spent exploring nearby villages like Ostuni the White, Locorotondo the Round, and Alberobello the trulli-cool.
The Adriatic beaches are less than 30 minutes away, ideal for switching between countryside and sea. And for food lovers, don’t miss iconic spots like Essenza in San Michele, Fantini in San Vito, or the flea market in Ceglie Messapica, where you can hunt for a vintage chair to complete the décor or just score a delightfully quirky set of tableware.
