A beautifully restored Corsican sheepfold

"A deep sense of serenity fills this place, where a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere meets the convenience of the beach just a ten-minute drive away."

In Serra-di-Ferro, a charming village in the Valinco region of southern Corsica, lies Domaine Pietra Rossa (“red stone” in Italian). This 18th-century sheepfold has been carefully restored to offer modern comfort while preserving its timeless charm. Designed to accommodate up to eight guests, the property features four bedrooms, including two master suites.

Outside, a 15-meter heated saltwater pool and a lush Mediterranean garden set the scene for pure relaxation. The perfect getaway for family or friends, complete with high-end amenities to make your stay unforgettable: an air-conditioned gym, a summer kitchen, and high-speed internet for remote work in a tranquil setting.

During the renovation of this three-century-old estate, the owner was committed to working with local craftsmen, preserving traditional techniques, and using natural materials like stone and wood.

“We wanted to breathe new life into this sheepfold while respecting its history. Every step of the renovation was carefully planned to ensure the property retained its soul while integrating modern amenities for absolute comfort,” he explains.

The outdoor spaces were designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. The expansive terrace and pool, for example, are strategically positioned to offer breathtaking views of the maquis and beyond.

"It’s a place where you feel at peace, a spot where you can relax while being immersed in the nature and history of Corsica."

Exceptional setting,
exceptional décor

The interior décor of Domaine Pietra Rossa strikes a perfect balance between simplicity, comfort, and refinement. Large windows flood each room with natural light while offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The use of wood, stone, and linen, paired with a palette of beige, sand, and terracotta, creates a warm and soothing atmosphere.

“We wanted a simple yet elegant décor, in harmony with the natural surroundings. Every piece of furniture and every detail has been carefully chosen to provide optimal comfort without overwhelming the space,” explains the owner.

A worry-free
stay

Beyond its idyllic setting, Domaine Pietra Rossa offers easy access to a variety of activities. The Valinco region, with its charming seaside resorts like Porto-Pollo, is ideal for water sports such as diving, paddleboarding, and sailing. Just 15 minutes away, the coastal town of Propriano is a must-visit for food lovers, boasting an array of fine dining restaurants.

To elevate the experience, tailored services cater to every need. A dedicated concierge can arrange transfers and excursions, a yoga session can be organized among the olive trees, or a private chef can prepare local specialties. The perfect recipe for a dream vacation!
