The art of living between volcano and ocean

"Guests can enjoy the vegetable garden, the estate’s wine, and terraces with views of the ocean. The atmosphere is refined yet deeply connected to nature."

At 1,200 meters above sea level, perched on ancient lava flows and surrounded by Canary pines, Finca Piedra El Coto seems to float between sky and sea. Built from stone forty years ago and fully renovated just two years ago, the house offers sweeping 180° views of the Atlantic. “We wanted a home that would blend into the landscape, while highlighting its beauty,” says Vanessa, one of the owners. The result? A timeless villa where subtle architecture celebrates nature, rather than overshadowing it.

The very name of the Finca speaks for itself: "Piedra" for the volcanic stone that defines the land, and "El Coto" for this preserved corner that the owners fiercely protect. The soul of the project grew from a dream: to live within nature without trying to tame it. The architecture embraces simplicity—clean lines, open spaces, and terraces that frame the horizon. “Our goal wasn’t to create a backdrop, but a home that breathes with the mountain and the sea,” explains Stéphane. From fossilized lava to stone walls, everything here resonates in harmony with the environment.

Natural
elegance

The villa features three bedrooms, a spacious living room, and multiple terraces that open onto the ocean. The décor is minimalist yet warm, emphasizing raw materials like wood, stone, and soft hues. Each space feels like an extension of the landscape, as if one could reach out and pick up a ray of sunlight to use as a bedside lamp.

As for amenities, modern comfort is found in the details: premium bedding, an open kitchen designed for communal dining, and bright, airy spaces where indoors and outdoors blend effortlessly. "The idea was to offer the comfort of a five-star hotel, but with the soul of a family home," says Vanessa.

"Here, silence, the horizon, and the flavors of the garden set the pace of your stay."

Life
in slow motion

In the garden, we enjoy nature.

In the garden, we enjoy nature.

Staying at Finca Piedra El Coto means stepping into a timeless atmosphere. Silence, the horizon, and the scents of the garden set the pace for each day. You wake to the ocean, enjoy lunch with vegetables picked that morning, savor the estate’s natural wine, and drift off to sleep beneath a starry sky that could be straight out of a planetarium.

Services complete the experience: attentive concierge care, a private chef, massages, sunrise yoga, sailing trips, and intimate musical evenings. "We love to welcome our guests as friends, sharing our secret notebook—our favorite spots, hidden beaches, and beloved local producers," say the owners.

Tenerife,
a life-size playground

Around the Finca, the island unfolds as a treasure trove for the refined adventurer. Hike volcanic trails, swim in natural pools carved by the sea, stargaze under the certified Starlight Reserve sky, take boat trips to meet dolphins and whales—and, of course, enjoy the discreet restaurants known only to insiders.

"What we offer is not just a house, but a new way to experience Tenerife—like a local, like an explorer," Stéphane sums up.

After all that effort, relax in one of the beautiful suites at the finca.
