A villa perched in the hills of the Nice hinterland

"Nestled in a tranquil setting, the villa features a serene garden and natural surroundings, while remaining just minutes from local shops."

Located in La Colle-sur-Loup, just five minutes from Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Villa Collinette is a beautifully renovated Provençal home set in a peaceful location with panoramic views of the village, rolling hills, and even a distant glimpse of the Mediterranean Sea. Blending history—the villa was built on the ruins of an ancient abbey—refined design, and unspoiled nature, this charming retreat offers the perfect getaway for six adults looking to soak up the French Riviera sun.

Spanning 160 m², Villa Collinette—named after the village it calls home—is designed for effortless living on a single level. It features a fully equipped open kitchen, a dining area for six, and a spacious lounge with a comfortable sofa for relaxed gatherings. Three large double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, ensure privacy and comfort for all guests. The outdoor spaces are just as impressive. Set on 7,000 m² of beautifully landscaped grounds, the villa offers a stunning natural retreat, complete with a pool, a fire pit, and breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and perched villages.

A charming
local villa

Built on land that once housed an abbey, Villa Collinette is a quintessential Provençal home, surrounded by century-old olive trees and a protected pine forest. Originally converted into a traditional Provençal farmhouse, the property was later acquired by an interior designer with a passion for art and design, who infused it with her distinctive touch.

In 2022, the couple of owners discovered Saint-Paul de Vence during a sunny getaway on the Côte d’Azur. Dreaming of a foothold in this charming corner of France, they fell in love with Villa Collinette and embarked on a full renovation.

of minimalism

Renovated in 2024, Villa Collinette seamlessly blends Mediterranean classicism with Scandinavian simplicity. Natural materials are at the heart of its design: solid oak floors create a warm and inviting indoor atmosphere, making the villa just as enjoyable in winter—especially with the cozy fireplace—as it is in summer. Outdoors, Italian stone on the terrace adds an authentic touch. Each room is bathed in natural light, thanks to large windows that open onto the lush garden, with some spaces featuring a private balcony or terrace. The color palette? Light, natural tones—beige, taupe, and off-white—offering a soothing ambiance for both the eyes and the mind.

The furnishings, both minimalist and elegant, are a carefully curated blend of antique finds—like the wooden farmhouse table in the dining room—and thoughtfully selected design pieces. As a designer, the owner sought to create a space that seamlessly merges Mediterranean influences with Nordic style, resulting in a home that feels both timeless and effortlessly sophisticated.

Halfway
between Provence and the French Riviera

Beyond the villa’s exceptional comfort, its location is ideal for exploring the region. La Colle-sur-Loup is a charming village near Saint-Paul de Vence, a medieval hilltop gem perfect for leisurely strolls through cobblestone streets and discovering art galleries.

For nature lovers, the Gorges du Loup offer spectacular scenery, with steep cliffs and refreshing waterfalls—ideal for hiking or canyoning. Further downstream, the Loup River provides opportunities for kayaking and fishing.

Culturally, the town of Vence, just six kilometers away, boasts a rich artistic heritage, including the Chapelle du Rosaire, designed by Henri Matisse. And for those craving the sea, the beaches of Nice and Antibes are less than thirty minutes away—perfect for a day by the Mediterranean. Whether you're looking for relaxation, cultural discoveries, or outdoor adventures, Villa Collinette is the perfect starting point to experience the French Riviera at its best.
