"A family chalet where you feel wonderfully at home".

Away from the hustle and bustle often associated with Courchevel, in the “Moriond l’Ensoleillée” district, lies Artemisia: a 300 m² chalet that stands out for its privileged location between the famous Belvedere forest and the slopes of the 3 Valleys, the world’s largest ski area. A rather wild environment where it’s not uncommon to come across the gaze of foxes or deer passing by. The chalet has five bedrooms for up to ten guests, all with mountain or forest views, creating an atmosphere of rare serenity. The luxurious master suite opens onto a private terrace with a 180°, unobstructed view of the peaks. The spacious exterior offers breathtaking views of the snow-covered slopes. It is the perfect place for a morning coffee or to relax after a day’s skiing while admiring the tranquility of the surrounding mountains.

By foot
or on skis

The chalet’s strategic location offers direct access to the ski slopes from the Granges lift, making it the ideal refuge for winter sports enthusiasts, who can store their equipment in the ski room at the entrance to the chalet.

During this season, seize the opportunity to wander through a picturesque landscape blanketed in pristine snow. Start on the cross-country ski trail right outside the chalet and make your way to the legendary Lac de la Rosière, where a hot crêpe awaits to warm your fingers. Later, if you have a penchant for sweets, visit La Ferme Auberge d’Ariondaz. This restaurant, celebrated for its delectable fondue and stunning views, is conveniently located just a short distance from the chalet.

Slowing down
to capture the moment

Designed with families in mind, the chalet promises a carefree experience, offering services like daily housekeeping, pre-arranged ski rentals, and breakfast each morning featuring exclusively local produce. Catherine, the attentive chalet owner, ensures that every small detail is taken care of. Yet, the indulgence doesn’t stop there: a sauna, hammam, and massage room await in the chalet’s basement, ready to soothe you after a day on the slopes. To cap off the evening, cozy up with a good book by the fire or enjoy your favorite film in the dedicated cinema room.

Courchevel
but make it authentic

Warm, welcoming living spaces.

Warm, welcoming living spaces.

To understand what sets Artemisia apart, with its authentic approach far from the bling of Courchevel, we need to go back in time to 1982. That year, Serge inherited the land where the chalet now sits, a place where he once tended to animals alongside his mother and grandmother during his childhood.

This village native then embarked on an ambitious project: to build a chalet with his own hands. Years later, in 2014, he and his wife decided to completely renovate the then three-apartment property, transforming it into a unified, harmonious family home with generous living spaces.

A personal commitment and a local approach: use of traditional materials, mainly larch, recovery of stone from part of the property, reuse of wood to make small pieces of furniture or decorative objects, creation of curtains using wool from the Arpin spinning mill… Catherine and Serge were very resourceful.

It’s a good thing the owners live in Courchevel, as they’ll be able to cue you in on all the best local deals. Which reminds us of this one: in summer 2023, at the bottom of the chalet’s garden, just in front of the cross-country ski run, a Serge and Catherine-style wooden cabin will open its doors. The pitch: wood-burning stove, small kitchen, and attic bedroom, with mountain views. “It’s our way of making the most of the chalet’s exceptional location, even in the off-season,” explains Catherine.

The 3 things

We love the most

The view, in front of the mountains
Wonderful moments of relaxation in the sauna and hammam
The ideal location for perfect peace and quiet at the foot of the slopes
