An alpine retreat where luxury reaches new heights

« It is a true sanctuary, created to bring together modern luxury, discreet service and the authentic warmth of the Alps. »

Just steps from the Mont d’Arbois ski slopes and the golf course, Chalet Mandala reveals its clean lines and generous spaces, with nearly five hundred square metres in total. Designed to host up to twelve guests, with an additional bedroom for staff, it is one of those rare places where natural materials, greyed wood and stone come together in a way that feels effortlessly elegant.

Redesigned in two thousand twenty three, the chalet now brings together the heritage of Megève with a contemporary sense of style. Light moves easily through the rooms, warm textures create a welcoming atmosphere and the surrounding nature seems to flow inside through the wide openings. Adding to the charm, a small stream runs just beside the chalet.

Legacy
and rebirth

A glimpse of the impressive cathedral-style living room.

Before it became a design retreat, Chalet Mandala was an authentic alpine residence built in the great Megève tradition. Deeply attached to the spirit of the place, the owners wanted to preserve that heritage while opening a new chapter. To do so, they turned to interior architect Charlotte Barone, who led a complete renovation in two thousand twenty three.

Her ambition was to reinvent the chalet without ever losing its soul. She imagined a cathedral style living room centred around a sculptural fireplace, reorganised the three levels around a majestic staircase, increased the flow of natural light and created an atmosphere where heritage and modernity speak to each other with quiet subtlety. Chalet Mandala was reborn, faithful to its origins yet entirely contemporary, offering the gentle feeling of being in a house with a story and many bright days ahead.

Contemporary architecture
at the heart of tradition

The chalet’s architecture strikes a beautifully controlled balance. Stone, aged wood and raw materials anchor Mandala firmly in its alpine environment, while contemporary lines and discreet Art Deco details bring a touch of modern elegance. The spacious, light filled living room is arranged around its impressive fireplace, a natural gathering point for everyone who stays here.

Inside, the decor unfolds through natural tones, soft textiles and tactile materials. Each bedroom carries its own personality, always warm and refined, and each comes with an en suite bathroom for total privacy. The master suite opens onto panoramic mountain views and even includes a secret entrance to the spa, hidden behind the shower.

At the heart of the chalet, wellbeing takes centre stage. Guests can enjoy an indoor pool decorated with golden mosaics, as well as a sauna, a hammam and a gym. A large outdoor terrace completes the experience with a jacuzzi that looks out toward the surrounding peaks.

A tailor-made
stay

Staying at Chalet Mandala means enjoying impeccable hospitality. From the moment you arrive, a smiling face, a welcome massage, a bouquet of fresh flowers, and a bottle of champagne set the tone. Daily housekeeping, firewood ready for the fireplace, premium linens, local and digital concierge services, and even snow clearing ensure guests can fully savor their stay without a care in the world.

Megève completes the experience with its charming streets, iconic chalets and tempting gourmet scene. You can enjoy fine dining at renowned restaurants such as Flocons de Sel, or choose more traditional tables where fondues, tartiflettes and other cheesy delights are celebrated in true alpine spirit.
