An exceptional chalet in the heart of the Dolomites

The house sits on a sunny slope, surrounded by wide-open meadows, old stone walls, scattered trees, and the occasional goat lazily grazing nearby.

Perched at 1,200 meters on a sun-drenched slope, Felder Alpin Lodge is set in a postcard-perfect landscape. Open the shutters and there it is—a sweeping view of the Dolomites. Close your eyes, and you’ll hear the gentle chime of a goat’s bell in the distance. This is high-altitude dolce vita.

It all began with Tom, a passionate traveler who settled here in 2005, back when there was no electricity or heating. In 2015, he brought in the Mikolajcak architects to design a modern, low-profile retreat tucked into the hillside behind the farm. Then came the big transformation in 2021: with Perathoner Architects, the old farmhouse was reborn as Felder Alpin Lodge—a luxurious haven offering five-star comfort in the heart of an extraordinary natural setting.

A thousand years
of history

Welcome to the Felder Alpin Lodge !

Welcome to the Felder Alpin Lodge !

Felderhof is a story rooted in time. Dating back to the 11th century, this farmhouse has long been a landmark in the alpine pastures. Over the centuries, its stone walls, dark beams, and traditional stube have quietly witnessed generations come and go.

The chalet’s architecture strikes a rare balance between heritage and modernity. Thick walls, aged wood, and the cozy wooden stube—the heart of Alpine homes in Austria, German-speaking Switzerland, and the Italian Tyrol, complete with its tiled stove—have all been lovingly preserved. At the same time, clean lines, wide openings, and a glass-fronted Finnish sauna offer a front-row seat to nature. No gimmicks here, just understated elegance.

"The chalet offers both a sense of seclusion and openness, with panoramic views of the Dolomites, while being just steps away from quiet forest trails and alpine pastures."

Luxury, peace,
and quiet

Inside, three floors spread across 180 m² feel like a masterclass in blending comfort with character. Every corner seems thoughtfully designed. We love the cozy reading nook tucked beneath the beams, the dreamy wake-up view from the upstairs bedroom, and the panoramic sauna that brings the mountains right to you.

In the vaulted kitchen, a majestic De Manincor stove takes center stage—perfect for simmering homemade pasta and canederli. The living room mixes hand-knotted Moroccan rugs with classic Tyrolean furniture, proving that different styles can live together beautifully.

After skiing, enjoy a panoramic sauna session.

on the menu

At Felder Alpin Lodge, life moves to the rhythm of the mountains. Start your day with a coffee facing the Dolomites, hike up to the Alm, swim in a mountain lake, or hit the slopes at Dolomiti Superski—just a 30-minute drive away. In the evening, head back to the chalet for a sauna session and a glass of champagne.

Claudia, the attentive house manager, offers a full range of bespoke services: private chef, access to a secret wine cellar, guided excursions, and transfers by Defender, e-bike, or even helicopter—for those who really want to take things to the next level.
