Welcome to La Cabane Mosane — a screen-free haven where serenity reigns. Just the crackle of the wood stove and birdsong to break the silence. This quintessential 1970s cabin stands proudly on a 2,000 m² wooded plot, overlooking the elegant rooftops of Waulsort, a historic Belle Époque village. Reachable via a gently sloping path through a garden seemingly frozen in time, the climb brings you to a place where life slows down — and something new begins.
La Cabane Mosane was lovingly restored to its former glory in 2024 by its owner, a textile art director. The challenge? To preserve the cabin’s original ’70s soul while updating it to modern standards of comfort. Mission accomplished: the slanted walls, original wood paneling, and iconic chalet silhouette remain intact — now enhanced with thoughtful design touches and clever details. Every corner reflects a clear creative vision, with careful attention paid to each object, piece of furniture, and color. A living space where everything has meaning.

Step inside La Cabane Mosane and you enter a timeless bubble. A warm brown-on-brown palette, vintage floral wallpaper, mid-century furniture, soft blush accents, and a retro kitchen — everything evokes the 1970s without ever slipping into kitsch.
The living room is a cozy cocoon, complete with a wood-burning stove, a reading nook, a large picture window opening onto the terrace, and soft light filtering through the trees. Two bedrooms comfortably sleep up to four guests, with a small extra bed for a child. Special mention goes to the bathroom, featuring a shower inside a former wine barrel and a Japanese soaking tub.
Outside, the charm continues with a summer kitchen, a smoker barbecue, and a large table — perfect for long, starry evenings under the open sky.

A holiday at La Cabane Mosane is all about the luxury of forgetting time. You wake with the sun, savor the silence in the garden, and head straight from the cabin onto hiking trails that lead to breathtaking views over the valley.
For those eager to explore further afield, there’s kayaking on the Lesse, rock climbing, boat rides along the Meuse, and visits to nearby citadels and abbeys.
The beautiful town of Dinant is just 15 minutes away, Rochefort — home of the famous Trappist beers — is under an hour’s drive, and the Maredsous Abbey is close by too. And if the mood strikes, Namur awaits, with its charming streets and underground galleries.
