The Jura at its most spectacular
"The chalet is perfect for nature and tranquility lovers, offering sweeping views and a peaceful place to unwind after a hike."
Designed in 2023 and inaugurated in early 2024, the two Lynx chalets rise on the edge of the forest in Foncine-le-Haut, overlooking the valley. Perched at 1,035 meters, their suspended terraces open onto sweeping views of the Risoux forest and Mont d’Or. “I wanted everything you can hardly find anymore: nature, peace, and a view,” says Cyril Boivin, owner and creator of this unique project. With their thoughtful layout, the chalets are perfect for two families or a large group of friends.
Boréal and Canada are state-of-the-art eco-lodges built to RE2020 standards. Light wood, high-performance insulation, and local craftsmanship all work together to minimize the carbon footprint. Scandinavian architecture brings clean lines and wide picture windows that frame the mountains like living works of art. The result is a warm cocoon where granite, wood, and natural textures meet in perfect harmony.

Chalet Boréal, with its 120 m², welcomes up to six guests. Three bedrooms, a mezzanine with a hanging net, and a terrace complete with a spa make it the perfect family hideaway. Chalet Canada, more intimate at 80 m², accommodates five guests, with a cozy attic cabin bedroom, a relaxing spa, and a snug blue-toned atmosphere.
Both chalets share the same bright, warm Scandinavian spirit. And for game lovers, there’s a common room with a PS5, beanbags, and a comfy bench.
As for his personal favorites, Cyril doesn’t hesitate: “The hanging nets where kids and grown-ups alike have fun, the panoramic reading nooks, and of course the suspended terraces—perfect for watching the sun or the stars slip by.”
The Jura,
a life-size playground
A stay at Chalet Lynx is a full dive into the vibrant spirit of the Haut-Jura. Hiking trails, sparkling waterfalls, shimmering lakes—and of course, the local cheese cooperatives. Adventurers can take on cross-country skiing or trail running, while food lovers head to the Relais du Fumé in Champagnole, Tibochoc the chocolatier, or master cheesemaker Marc Janin. The curious can wander through the wildlife park to spot lynx, owls, and other forest neighbors.
Or for a blissfully different kind of day, stay in, sink into the spa, and let the sweeping views do the rest.
