With a dedication to sustainable tourism, they have thoughtfully restored this farmhouse, preserving the charm and heritage of its historic structures.
Respelido comprises several houses, including two main residences—a 350 m² main house and a 120 m² summer house—that beautifully marry old-world charm with modern luxury. The pool, framed by antique roses and fragrant jasmine, sits within lush greenery, creating a serene retreat. With six en-suite bedrooms, Respelido comfortably hosts up to 12 guests, offering the refined comforts and services of a high-end hotel. It’s the ideal Provençal getaway.

The charming village of Mouriès, nestled in the heart of the Alpilles, is surrounded by hills, olive groves, and vineyards and is renowned as France’s leading olive oil production center. It embodies the quintessential Provençal spirit, rich in history with treasures like the Caisses de Jean-Jean oppidum—a classified archaeological site—and the Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur church from 1782, both just a short stroll from Respelido. Mouriès also features an arena that hosts lively summer events, from folk dances and Arlésienne parades to Camargue shows and traditional festivals.
And what would a Provençal getaway be without savoring local flavors? Every Wednesday, the village buzzes with its Provençal market, a feast of olive oil, fougasse, tapenade, and fresh produce perfect for cooking in Respelido’s spacious kitchen. Or, simply unwind on a café terrace and leave the meal prep to a private chef!

When Liliana and Alain Meylan set out to renovate Respelido—a classic Provençal farmhouse once used as a working farm—they aimed to bring in more light and make it a welcoming space for family gatherings. To do this, they introduced large openings in the stone walls, connecting the interiors to the vast, green garden. The spacious rooms with high ceilings give everyone plenty of room to move comfortably.
Inside, warm tones and natural materials like traditional clay tiles, stone walls, and wooden beams combine with antique furniture sourced locally, capturing the essence of Provençal heritage. Liliana Meylan’s style shines through in the decor, with carefully chosen fabrics and a hint of Italian influence. Respelido is a home that welcomes you, whether to escape the midday sun or to cozy up by one of the fireplaces on cooler days.
