"The garden is filled with the fragrant essence of Provence, thanks to lavender, local aromatic herbs, and olive trees."

Before creating Villa AVA in 2023, David and Anaïs spent countless days exploring the paths of the Luberon, falling in love with this breathtaking region of Provence. Their search led them to Gordes, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, where they discovered the perfect plot to build their dream vacation retreat. With David collaborating closely with local artisans and craftsmen to design a contemporary home constructed from locally sourced stone, and Anaïs focusing on the interior design, the result is a stunning blend of authenticity and modern comfort.

The result? A sleek 180 m² home with clean lines, inspired by the traditional mas and bastides of Provence. Villa AVA comfortably accommodates eight guests in its four suites. Surrounded by fragrant lavender fields—their aroma welcoming you the moment you enter the garden—and nestled among olive trees, the setting feels like it’s straight out of a postcard. Ideally located just a ten-minute walk from the center of Gordes, the villa offers easy access to the village's charming shops and restaurants. And there’s more: Anaïs and David ensure every detail is thoughtfully arranged, from a welcome basket to bike rentals and housekeeping services. All that’s left to do? Relax and soak up the beauty of Provence.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a gourmet basket thoughtfully prepared by Anaïs.

"The two key words of the house are comfort and practicality," says the delighted owner of Villa AVA. Indeed, Anaïs and David have gone to great lengths to ensure that every room is equipped with high-end, modern, and comfortable amenities. From a fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning to baby furniture upon request and a laundry room, everything has been thoughtfully arranged.

But it doesn’t stop there! The hosts go above and beyond to make guests feel truly pampered: a welcome basket filled with local delicacies to enjoy during an aperitif with stunning views, restaurant and activity reservations, daily housekeeping, and linen changes throughout the stay... Every detail is designed to ensure a seamless, luxurious experience. Guests are pampered from morning till night.

Passionate about architecture and interior design, Anaïs and David found immense joy in creating their dream home. With the guidance of a local architect, they drew inspiration from the unobstructed views of the Luberon to craft Villa AVA: soaring ceilings, expansive windows that connect every room to the outdoors, and a color palette that mirrors nature—olive green, terracotta, sunny yellow. The seamless flow between the interior and exterior spaces is a highlight for their guests.

Every aspect of the decor and furnishings was carefully considered, with most pieces sourced from L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, a haven for antiques just 25 minutes away. In the living room, wooden accents take center stage, infusing warmth into the space—especially appreciated on the rare occasion the sun takes a break. The result? A vacation home that is both warm and elegant, perfectly harmonizing with the idyllic landscapes of the Luberon.

In the heart
of Provence

Just a ten-minute walk from Villa AVA, you can start your day by picking up fresh bread and pastries from a local bakery in Gordes, followed by a coffee on a terrace and a leisurely stroll through the Provençal market. Perched on a hill with sweeping views of the Provençal countryside, Gordes—named the Most Beautiful Village in the World by Travel + Leisure—captivates visitors with its medieval charm and picturesque allure. A visit to the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Sénanque, nestled among lavender fields, is an absolute must.

The village’s reputation is well-earned, as you’ll discover while wandering its quaint streets and soaking in the breathtaking panoramas. The surrounding area offers just as many marvels: from the hilltop villages of the Luberon to the Provençal Colorado and Les Baux de Provence, there’s no shortage of sights to explore. The only challenge? Finding enough time to experience it all!
