A wooden villa on Lake Altaussee

“The villa’s atmosphere is truly unique: a blend of tranquility, elegance, and Alpine charm.”

Looking for a unique getaway in Austria? Villa Seeblick is a dream destination. Set on a gentle slope above the village, it offers unforgettable panoramic views of Lake Altaussee (its name means ‘sea view’ in German), along with the Loser and Trisselwand mountains. Spanning 300 m², the villa accommodates up to six adults and one young child, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sauna, a children’s playroom, a cozy living room with a fireplace and a relaxing loft area.

Built in 2016 and later purchased by a Viennese family captivated by the location, the villa blends modernity with Alpine spirit. ‘For us, Villa Seeblick is more than a house. It is our sanctuary to slow down and reconnect with what truly matters,’ explain the owners.

Its architecture finds the perfect balance between tradition and contemporary design, with clean lines, natural materials, wide windows and a gently sloping roof. The house blends seamlessly into its surroundings, welcoming light and nature without ever dominating the landscape. Here, the lake, the forest and the mountains are not just backdrops, they are part of daily life.

“Upon arrival, you feel a sense of calm and timelessness.”

As comfortable
as it is practical

Inside, the décor blends minimalism with warmth. Wood, stone and neutral tones create a calming atmosphere, while carefully chosen details bring character and personality. The modern kitchen, fitted with a Miele coffee machine, oven and kettle, is ready for gourmet meals or an impromptu raclette evening.

The open-plan living room with fireplace forms the heart of the house, ideal for reading, chatting or simply admiring the view. The master suite with dressing room and bathroom, along with the bedrooms upstairs and in the loft, offer both comfort and privacy. Children have their own playroom and a cozy nook under the roof. A sauna, Wi-Fi, workspace and garage complete this dream setup.

Relaxation and adventure
à la carte

Villa Seeblick is made for those who love to pair nature with pleasure. Spend your mornings by Lake Altaussee, hike along the Loser Panorama, cycle through the surrounding forests, and in winter, enjoy skiing or snowshoeing right from the doorstep.

Evenings are for gathering by the fireplace or sipping a glass of wine on the terrace, while cultural excursions to Hallstatt, Bad Ischl or the Altaussee salt mine add a touch of history to the stay. Here, time slows down, nature sets the rhythm, and every moment becomes a ritual of simple pleasures.
