Press, my beautiful press: the finest 2.0 mills to stay in

In the countryside, some old mills and presses have traded their machinery and streams for inviting kitchens, bright living rooms and gardens made for leisurely strolls.

The result is holiday homes that blend authenticity and modern comfort, perfect for a refreshing weekend or a longer stay.

Welcome to PAPOTTE!

Welcome to PAPOTTE!

PAPOTTE, a Burgundian mill full of poetry

Just 20 minutes from Beaune, PAPOTTE was once a well-known village flour mill. Purchased by a young local couple, this 2.5-hectare estate now offers a subtle blend of historic charm and contemporary design. “We wanted to create a poetic, unique and harmonious place,” say the owners. Mission accomplished: here, the past is etched in the walls, while modern comforts invite you to savour every moment.

La Maison du Meunier, a colorful cottage in the heart of the Opal Coast

Just three kilometers from the sea, at the foot of the old mill, La Maison du Meunier—once home to the mill’s caretakers—welcomes four guests into a warm, colorful, and delightfully retro setting, designed to combine comfort, independence, and shared moments.

Two distinct suites, East and West, a spacious living room and a fully equipped kitchen with a charming touch of nostalgia, everything is in place for a cosy holiday with friends or family (older children only). A terrace, fire pit, pétanque, fresh bread delivered each morning and even mid-stay cleaning are all included.

Le Moulin, a getaway just two hours from Paris

Once an old mill crossed by a gentle stream, this house, renovated by Lucas, half of the Hauvette & Madani duo, and Marine, has kept all its authenticity with its stone walls while offering a modern, light-filled interior. The flowering, bucolic garden completes this idyllic retreat, perfect for getting some fresh air, taking a stroll or simply unwinding.

Villa Ernest, Norman charm overlooking the paddocks

In Tourgeville, Villa Ernest was once a summer retreat for a Parisian family. Captivated by this old press house, which had remained untouched for thirty years, the owners fully renovated it with architect Laurent Capuano, preserving the original beams and façades. The garden, redesigned by landscape architect Arend Jan Van der Host, is a little paradise of its own. Between walks in the fresh air, coffee on the terrace and cosy evenings by the fire, the house promises a gentle and relaxing escape.
