Le Clos des Ursulines
A holiday home in the heart of Burgundy’s vineyards

Surrounding Le Clos des Ursulines: forests and fields.
Just minutes from Beaune, in the heart of the charming village of Bligny-lès-Beaune, Le Clos des Ursulines offers a truly magical escape. Once a beloved family home, now a welcoming retreat, it’s the perfect hideaway for families and groups of friends in search of nature, local flavors, and lively meals shared around the table.
This character-filled 300 m² house comfortably sleeps up to eight guests and is designed to feel like home the moment you walk through the door. With two inviting living areas, a stunning cathedral-style kitchen with soaring seven-meter ceilings, two suites with private bathrooms, a cosy additional bedroom, and a separate sleeping area for extra privacy, it’s ideal for two to three couples with children. The thoughtful layout means everyone can find a quiet corner to unwind — or come together for warm, convivial moments.

The stylish contemporary living room at Le Clos des Ursulines.
On the garden side, two private courtyards invite you to soak up the outdoors — whether it’s lunch in the sun, a chat beneath the old lime tree, or simply admiring the golden Burgundy stone glowing in the light. In winter, the mood shifts to cosy evenings by the large fireplace, glass of Volnay in hand. But Le Clos des Ursulines didn’t earn its name by chance: in 1684, the house became a peaceful retreat for the Ursuline nuns of Beaune. Its roots go even deeper, back to 1534, when it was built by the lords of Bligny for their daughter, Barbe Belerien. For centuries, the estate combined farming and winemaking, before becoming the timeless holiday haven it is today — now lovingly cared for by two sisters.
Guests at Le Clos des Ursulines — often families or groups of friends who love good wine and lively gatherings — find the perfect base here for exploring Burgundy’s many treasures. Hop on a bike and ride through the vineyards of Pommard, Meursault, or Volnay. Wander the cobbled streets of Beaune, or settle in at La Ferme de la Ruchotte to savor bold, locally sourced cuisine. Another must-try? Atelier Escoffier, where the scent of a traditional bread oven fills the air and a vineyard-view terrace sets the scene. Prefer something stronger? Alambic Bourguignon distills eaux-de-vie that capture the very spirit of the terroir. And for a chic countryside dinner, head to Chez Armand at Château de Mimande — an evening of elegance with just the right touch of ease.
Le Château du Feÿ
A vacation castle on the doorstep of Burgundy

Le Château du Feÿ from above.
Burgundy is home to many beautiful châteaux, but this one has something truly special. Nestled in the heart of the Yonne, this historic estate — once a noble residence dating back to 1692 and famed for its vineyards — is now undergoing a bold revival. With the visionary touch of French architect Jessica Angel, Château du Feÿ has become a place where past and future blend seamlessly into one inspiring destination.
Set on 42 hectares of land dotted with majestic century-old trees, Le Château du Feÿ is much more than a historic landmark — it’s a place where magic lingers in the air, inviting you to slow down and truly escape. Today, this exceptional estate hosts artist residencies, collaborative workshops, and a variety of events, including Feÿ Arts — a multidisciplinary festival where contemporary art, gastronomy, architecture, and music come together. The château also opens its doors for weddings, retreats, seminars, and holidays, welcoming up to 40 guests across 28 elegant bedrooms. A one-of-a-kind property full of surprises, where every window opens onto nature. And the best part? Four-legged friends are welcome too.
Le Couvent des Ormes
An old convent for rent in the heart of Burgundy

The countryside charm of Le Couvent des Ormes.
In the heart of the peaceful village of Puisaye — a region full of character, where forests and ponds flourish in quiet freedom — lies Le Couvent des Ormes, tucked away at the end of the road leading to Château de Bontin. Surrounding the house is a vast stretch of greenery, lovingly shaped by its owners into a welcoming haven of calm and relaxation. Set across 7,000 square meters, the landscaped garden is dotted with ponds, a small basin, and a fifteen-meter swimming lane where sunlight dances on the water’s surface. There’s no shortage of ways to unwind: leisurely strolls — or hikes, for the more adventurous — through the lush vegetation that offers cool shade in summer, fruit-picking in the orchard among plum and apple trees… and then, back to Le Couvent des Ormes for a relaxed barbecue on the terrace as dusk gently settles in.
Dating back to the 1820s, Le Couvent des Ormes began as a religious establishment, later hosted summer camps, and eventually became a warm and welcoming family home. This layered history gives the rental a unique charm — one that immediately captivated architect Alexandre Deshayes and his partner, the current owners. “We were especially moved by the cross on the façade and the unfinished fresco in what used to be the classroom,” they explain. These architectural details infuse the house with a true sense of character and soul.
Spread across three floors and 450 square meters, the couple chose to preserve the spirit of the place through a minimalist, pared-back aesthetic. Everything here is white — from the walls to the linens — with furnishings and amenities kept to the essentials, each piece carefully selected. The living spaces, especially the bedrooms, are simply furnished with just a bed and a small bedside table. After all, why complicate things? The monastic atmosphere of Le Couvent des Ormes pays tribute to its past while inviting a simpler, more authentic way of living: “This is our home sweet home. We cherish the little moments — sharing time in the sun, walking in the woods, or curling up by the fire with a good book. It’s the simple things that make life beautiful.”
Tomette Singulière
A countryside home for rent in Southern Burgundy
Driven by a love of exceptional wine and breathtaking landscapes, Laura and Emeric set down roots in Southern Burgundy to bring Tomette Singulière to life — an elegant 19th-century manor house, beautifully restored stables, and a cozy LumiPod, together hosting up to 20 guests. Originally from Lyon and Bourg-en-Bresse, the couple knows the region like the back of their hand, from iconic towns like Chalon-sur-Saône to Mâcon. After careers in communication and hospitality in Paris, they set out in search of the perfect countryside escape — and found it in this one-hectare estate, just an hour from Lyon. As they scraped away old layers of plaster, they began to reveal the hidden charm of this 19th-century gem.

The sleek, contemporary living room of Tomette Singulière.
A little fun fact: this 1850 estate once belonged to a forward-thinking notary who owned… the very first car in Saône-et-Loire! Today, the property has been thoughtfully updated with modern comforts — including a swimming pool, a sauna, a pétanque court, and even an organic vegetable garden. Everything you need for a fulfilling (and delicious) holiday experience awaits.
To delight their guests, Laura and Emeric host tastings of 100% biodynamic wines, always paired with delicious local gougères. As true regional experts, they know all the best spots — from top vineyards and must-visit restaurants to scenic walking trails. And the best way to explore it all? By electric bike available to rent directly from the house. Before heading out to discover the area, guests can start their day with a homemade breakfast, and even order lunch or dinner on request.
PAPOTTE
Holidays in a historic mill in the heart of Burgundy
PAPOTTE was originally a flour mill, its wheel turning until the late 1990s. A beloved landmark in the village, the mill found new life when a young local couple fell for it — in the very place where Charles grew up and spent all his childhood holidays. Just 20 minutes from Beaune, its famous hospices, and world-renowned vineyards, the restored mill is now a heartfelt tribute to heritage and home.
Set on a 2.5-hectare estate, PAPOTTE offers a fresh, modern take on the traditional Burgundy country house. Facing the natural beauty of its surroundings and the timeworn charm of the historic building is a bold, contemporary, and elegant design. “We were committed to creating a poetic, unique, and above all harmonious atmosphere — to breathe new life and meaning into a place so rich in history,” the owners share.
PAPOTTE offers four fully independent homes, each thoughtfully designed with its own distinct charm. There’s a cosy little cottage for two, nestled by the river — perfect for a complete digital detox. A pastel-hued house for four, tucked into the old bread oven beneath the mill’s century-old beams, feels like a soft, powdery cocoon. Another home, accommodating six guests, is located in the mill’s left wing, with three bedrooms upstairs, a spacious open kitchen, a large library, a vinyl record player, and a private garden overlooking the river and vegetable patch. And for the grand finale: the manor house — designed in the spirit of an Italian family home — stands proudly at the edge of the vineyard, welcoming guests with seven suites, each with its own bathroom.

Welcome to PAPOTTE!
La Maison Maroc
A vacation villa set deep in the forest of Burgundy

Summer lunch in the garden of La Maison Maroc
La Maison Maroc radiates a warm elegance that feels effortlessly genuine. Designed to host up to 14 guests, it’s the perfect retreat imagined by two friends — a place to reconnect, unwind, and share meaningful moments suspended in time. The carefully curated space features four cosy double bedrooms and a spacious dormitory for six children, making everyone feel right at home. What’s on the agenda? Strolls through the mysterious Moroccan forest, fun-filled cookie-baking workshops in the charming kitchen, lively board game nights, and a standout experience: guided foraging for edible flowers, followed by their preparation and tasting — all served on beautifully mismatched vintage crockery.
The style is distinctly vintage, almost bourgeois, with sparkling chandeliers, a grand wooden staircase, period furniture, delicate tapestries, marble fireplaces, and majestic gilded mirrors. A few carefully chosen modern touches add just the right amount of contrast, subtly brightening the ensemble. Bathed in natural light, the living room and dining area flow seamlessly into one another through large glass doors, creating an airy, open atmosphere. Chic, spacious, and luminous, this space truly came into its own after the removal of one of the original two kitchens — becoming the vibrant heart of the home.

The stunning period tapestries, woven from silk and jute, have not only been preserved but beautifully highlighted, creating a unique and textured backdrop in the bedrooms. As for Kanèle and Caroline, they took great joy in sourcing and upcycling second-hand furniture — true treasures that bring distinctive charm and originality to an already remarkable place.
After this tour of Burgundy’s finest vacation homes, handpicked by Weeks Off, we can safely say: our search for the perfect getaway turned out to be a truly exceptional vintage!
