A manor house in Carcassonne

"It’s the perfect place for a large family gathering or a getaway with friends. Every corner tells a story from our lives, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere."

Nestled in the heart of Languedoc, surrounded by vineyards and centuries-old trees, the majestic Domaine de la Jasso stretches over 900 m² of charm and character. With its 11 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, heated indoor pool, vast kitchen, and sun-filled living rooms, it’s every bit the dream home—on an XXL scale.

And yet, nothing here is ostentatious: this is, above all, a family home—shaped by time, togetherness, and memories. Just a fifteen-minute walk from Carcassonne’s medieval citadel, it offers total peace and privacy in the heart of nine hectares of nature, including four of vineyards. Between birdsong and the rustle of leaves, you quickly realise that true luxury is silence.

The duo
who brought Domaine de la Jasso back to life

Welcome to Domaine de la Jasso.

Welcome to Domaine de la Jasso.

It all began in 2006, when Cécile and Stéphane Rives, passionate hoteliers, fell under the spell of this Languedocian home. “This house is a chapter of our story,” Cécile confides. “We watched our children grow up here, experienced unforgettable moments. And then one day, the house emptied—but it remained full of memories.”

It was actually their children who sparked the idea of giving it a new life: “What if one day we could all come back here, with our families?” Stéphane recalls. The idea took root, then blossomed: to transform the family home into a place for reunions, open to other families. The result? An estate that is both luxurious and genuine, where every detail exudes generosity and joie de vivre.

“This isn’t a house designed for rental, soulless and impersonal,” Cécile adds. “It’s a lived-in, vibrant home, where every object tells a story.”

An interior
to experience

Behind its elegant façade, Domaine de la Jasso hides a décor that is at once modern, welcoming, and family-oriented. In the expansive 80 m² living room, vermilion-red walls are adorned with hand-painted birds, while the glass roof bathes the space in golden light.

The monumental kitchen is the heart of the home: 80 m² of culinary delight, with two ovens, two dishwashers, a massive central island, and a fireplace that would make any Michelin-starred chef envious. Here, people chat, cook, and dream together, all while keeping an eye on the children playing outside.

When it’s time to sleep, the 11 bedrooms each offer their own atmosphere: panoramic rooms, cheerful dormitories, or an attic suite with a rooftop terrace. Perfect for large families—or inseparable groups of friends—the house can comfortably accommodate up to 27 guests without ever feeling crowded.

“This isn’t a house designed solely for rental, soulless and impersonal: it’s the intimate connection with its past and story that gives it an irresistible charm and a unique personality, making every stay unforgettable.”

Countryside
luxury

At Domaine de la Jasso, you can go from the jacuzzi to the zip line, from pedal boating to the mini farm—all without ever leaving the nine-hectare estate. The indoor pool, set in the former wine cellar, still retains its original vats as a nod to its history. Heated to 32 °C, it features a counter-current swimming system and a large jacuzzi bench for those who prefer relaxation over exercise.

Just a few meters away, the private mini-farm delights both little ones and big kids alike. Llamas, alpacas, donkeys, goats, fallow deer, yaks, and even a cow create a cast worthy of a Wes Anderson film. “The animals are part of the scenery,” Stéphane jokes. “Some guests spend more time with our goats than in the pool!” And when it comes to meals, long tables under the century-old trees take center stage: here, you can easily dine 27 people without ever running out of chairs. The estate’s wine, the barbecue’s sizzling grills, and the laughter of friends and family form the perfect soundtrack to a holiday.
