In Dordogne, a barn converted into a country home with the charm of an English cottage. Nestled in a hamlet at the heart of a wooded estate, La Petite Grange des Vignes offers a bucolic retreat for six, lovingly tended by its (very) attentive owners.

A manor perched above the rolling hills of Périgord, where time seems to stand still. Combining elegance, history, and a touch of French dolce vita, Domaine de Lavy promises an unforgettable stay.
A 19th-century estate in Périgord
"What makes the house unique is its layout across three levels, its generous proportions, and the sense of grandeur that each space conveys."
Perched on the heights of Saint-Pierre-de-Côle, Domaine de Lavy stretches across twenty hectares of greenery and calm. Here, nature meets history, and the old stones still seem to whisper stories of grand balls from the past. With 1,120 m² divided between two independent houses, the estate can accommodate up to twenty-six guests in an atmosphere that is both majestic and inviting.
The heated pool, tennis court, and wide Italian-style gardens invite pure relaxation, while evenings on the terrace are a reminder that the art of living has truly found its home here. Beyond the estate, a world of discovery awaits. In Brantôme, the “Venice of Périgord,” you can wander the charming streets, visit the abbey, and browse the lively market where everything is on offer, but only the best truly matters. And be sure not to miss the Neuvic caviar, a delicacy still enjoyed like a well-kept secret.
A tale
of unexpected turns

Welcome to Domaine de Lavy.
Built in 1822, Domaine de Lavy originally housed a general and his aide-de-camp, who lived in the charming annex now known as “the soldier’s house.” From that time, the residence has preserved a certain military grace, with its straight façades, proud stature, and beautifully maintained gardens.
It was Laetitia Morlat, a native of Périgord who returned home after years of travel around the world, who brought the estate back to life. In creating Domaine de Vieux-Mareuil, her goal was to bring together five residences that embody the local art of living.
"Our favorites? The Italian-style gardens, the pool, and the view from the soldier’s house."
A perfect marriage
of tradition and modernity
The main manor captures the refinement of a French classic, with period parquet floors, grand fireplaces, high ceilings, and that distinctive light of the Périgord hills. The annex houses, meanwhile, play with contrast: one offers contemporary comfort, the other preserves a rustic authenticity, like a nod to the childhood home we all dream of returning to.
In 2025, extensive renovations transformed the barn into an elegant dance hall. Two bathrooms were also updated, and a larger restoration is planned to bring modern luxury into the space without losing its old-world charm. The aim is simple: for every room to be not only beautiful, but above all, a joy to live in.

The pleasures
of Domaine de Lavy
At Domaine de Lavy, boredom is never on the agenda unless you want it to be. Between the heated pool, tennis court, games of pétanque, and soothing outdoor massages, days unfold in an easy, unhurried holiday rhythm.
On summer evenings, dinners on the terrace or barbecues by the pool take center stage beneath a starry sky straight out of a romantic film. Families and groups of friends quickly feel at home here, while seminars and weddings find an idyllic setting that combines rustic charm with five-star service.
