Marseille’s most stylish villa
"The villa is both luxurious and family-friendly, perfectly located just a few minutes’ walk from Plage du Prophète."
Masters of the art of hospitality, Audrey and Antoine Colombani—avid travellers with a passion for architecture, design, and group getaways—continue to unveil vacation homes you’ll want to return to time and again. After a Basque house in Guéthary, a villa in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, and a chalet in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, their latest gem has landed in Marseille: Domino Trois, a stunning Tuscan-inspired retreat tucked just steps from Plage du Prophète.
Domino Trois is the very definition of spacious—designed with big families and full crews in mind. With four bedrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, a hammam, gym, and sauna, it delivers comfort on a whole new level. Tucked away at the end of a quiet lane, the villa sits in a true oasis: think pool, terrace, palm trees, and graceful arches. If holidays were a house, they’d look a lot like Domino Trois.

Domino Trois

Domino Trois traces its roots back to the early 20th century. Once home to two families, it has retained its warm, welcoming spirit. The renovation was led by Audrey and her husband Antoine, who set out to infuse the house with the soul of an Italian holiday home, while embracing the vibrant energy of Marseille. “It used to be split into two apartments, with lots of small rooms. We wanted to open everything up — to preserve the house’s soul while bringing it into the present,” Audrey explains. The result is a bright, airy villa, where you can gaze out over the lush garden — and from the upper floors, even catch a glimpse of the Mediterranean.
A renovation
by four hands
To restore the villa’s former glory, a year and a half of renovation work was carried out in collaboration with architect Margaux Fritz—the creative force behind Domino Quatre and another Marseille gem, Villa Sunset. The goal? To breathe new life into the structure while preserving its original character. Every material was thoughtfully chosen: beautifully crafted wooden floors, red travertine in the bathrooms, and stainless steel in the kitchen for a more contemporary edge. Large openings flood the home with natural light, and the kitchen was designed to bring everyone together around the central island. “My husband wanted a bar, a spacious kitchen, and a fireplace—and Margaux brought it all to life perfectly.”
The result is a harmonious interior where vintage inspirations meet modern touches, and every object tells a story. “We spent a lot of time hunting for unique pieces on Selency and Le Bon Coin. Then, when we moved in, I laid everything out and arranged the pieces. It was a true labor of love and patience,” Audrey recalls. You’ll also find treasures unearthed at flea markets, like the painting in the kitchen. “I wanted this house to have real character—something that wouldn’t look like any other,” she adds. Standout details include ceramic wall sconces, amphora-shaped lamps, and decorative ceramic fish—a playful nod to the nearby sea.

A Marseille-style
getaway
Staying at Domino Trois means experiencing Marseille at its finest! Just a few minutes’ walk from Plage du Prophète, you’re right by the sea. The residential neighborhood of Roucas-Blanc offers plenty of hiking opportunities, with a trail that winds up the hillside, offering breathtaking views of the city. The famous Corniche Kennedy, just around the corner, is a must for an evening stroll, ice cream in hand.
The city center is only a few kilometers away, with its local markets, terrace restaurants, and the majestic Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde basilica, offering an exceptional panoramic view. For a day trip, head to the Calanques or the Frioul Islands, picnic basket in one hand, good book in the other.”
