A fully renovated 19th-century farmhouse for a truly Perch-tacular vacation.

"We had a real love-at-first-sight moment when we visited Val Gaudry. There’s such a lovely atmosphere; we knew right away that we didn’t want to leave."

Val Gaudry is a love story. First, there's the romance of Juliette and Sébastien, who were searching for the perfect venue for their wedding. Then there's their instant connection with this farmhouse, built in 1802—very precisely—on the hills of Perche.

After saying "I do" at Val Gaudry, they renovated and transformed its 700 square meters into a vacation home for 28 guests who share their love for the Perche region. On the estate’s lush four hectares, you can take the time to do nothing but watch the deer and rabbits pass by. That’s the Perche life!

One wedding and
one renovation

After their wedding, Juliette and Sébastien didn't jet off to Bora Bora. Instead, they embarked on a major renovation project! For a year and a half, they worked tirelessly on Val Gaudry. Interior designer Juliette drafted the plans and collaborated with local artisans to breathe new life into the building. Her goal? To create a welcoming home that could host large parties, weddings, and family gatherings. With features like a pool table, karaoke setup, spacious living room, large fully-equipped kitchen, and en-suite bedrooms, there's plenty of space for everyone across the 700 square meters of Val Gaudry!

Original floor tiles, lime plaster walls, wooden beams, and stone window surrounds… All these elements that contribute to the house’s character and charm have been carefully preserved. These beloved details are sure to appeal to fans of beautiful, old stone and timeless elegance.

A countryside home
like no other

But Val Gaudry wouldn’t be what it is without the special touch added by Juliette and Sébastien! Their modern twist adds even more character to the building. Among the vintage finds from local flea markets, you’ll find contemporary paintings by Juliette’s mother, Anne Clabaux, and vases by ceramicist Anna Westerlund.

The pièce de résistance? A grand Apparatus chandelier in the entrance and an all-blue kitchen featuring a stone countertop that nods to the original building. Juliette carefully selects each element, drawing inspiration from the local environment to create a cohesive design. In Perche, the colors of the flowers and meadows inspired the home’s palette: soft, natural hues that are incredibly soothing!

“Moroccan rugs, pink marble dining table… We love mixing different styles and references to avoid a too traditional view of a countryside home.”
