English refinement meets Norman sea spray in former stables transformed into a coastal retreat. You can unwind by alternating between the heated pool, the jacuzzi, and cliffside walks.
A former coaching inn turned holiday home
"The house has been completely renovated and redesigned with a distinctly British feel."
Nestled in the heart of the royal city of Eu, just a stone's throw from the sea, stands the proud Maison Eudoise. Far from being a mere holiday rental, this 120 square-meter building is a true living space designed for gathering and sharing. Formerly a coaching inn and stables where travelers would stop for the night, it has managed to preserve its historical soul while undergoing a spectacular makeover.
Accommodating up to ten guests with its four bedrooms and three bathrooms, Maison Eudoise is ideally laid out across three levels, ensuring both comfort and privacy. Its location is a major asset: guests stay in the heart of Norman heritage while being just a ten-minute drive from the beaches and the impressive cliffs of Mers-les-Bains and Le Tréport. It's the perfect home base.
From stables
to Maison Eudoise
Before becoming a modern retreat, Maison Eudoise was a bustling hub for travelers and their mounts. It was the rallying point where people found lodging and horses rested in the stables. This rich history was something the young couple of owners, both native to the region, were determined to revive. Passionate about renovating character properties, they undertook a total metamorphosis of the house in 2025 and made it a priority to create a coastal retreat far from the daily grind.
"We wanted the house to be designed as a true family home," they explain. Their goal was clear: to create a place where guests could feel completely at home while enjoying an exceptional setting.

Maison Eudoise is a charming two-story brick house, typical of the region, which offers that sought-after contrast: being located in the city yet close to the countryside. The layout and decor are a genuine triumph, cleverly blending antique furniture with modern design to create an authentic and welcoming English cottage feel. It perfectly captures the atmosphere of a British country home, just a stone's throw from the waves.
The owners have their favourites, and it’s easy to see why! Their three highlights are the view over the pool, which promises peaceful mornings, the terrace with its large table—perfect for late, convivial dinners—and finally, the living room decor, which beckons you to relax after a long day exploring the region.
The Art
of hospitality
Comfort is the guiding principle here, and every single detail has been considered for a flawless stay. On the ground floor, the kitchen serves as a true gourmet headquarters with a dining nook featuring a large table. The highly practical bonus feature: a self-service delicatessen section, perfect for emergencies in case of a late arrival.
The living room, with its reading corner, television, and board games, is perfect for cosy winter evenings. Outside, the house reveals one of its greatest pleasures. The lovely terrace opens onto a heated swimming pool, and for moments of pure relaxation, a covered semi open area shelters a bar and a jacuzzi, allowing you to unwind at any time of the year.
A royal setting
Maison Eudoise enjoys a strategic location. Set in Eu, a royal city rich in heritage, it is only a short drive from all the must see sights. The atmosphere is one of relaxation, offering the charm of a country house while remaining close to the coast.
Activities are plentiful. Beach outings, horseback rides, paddle boarding sessions, and long walks are all within easy reach. The owners, true locals, happily share their favourite addresses to ensure a perfect stay. For décor, visit Graines d’Intérieurs in Eu. For dining, they recommend Le Mariamelia and the restaurant Françoise, also in Eu. And for sightseeing, make sure to explore the Esplanade in Mers les Bains with its beautifully preserved villas.

After exploring Normandy, we gather for a large shared meal.
